ST. LOUIS -- The FOX network show Next Level Chef is now casting for cooks to join their third season. Producers are looking for local and up-and-coming chefs from the St. Louis area. They are looking for home cooks, social media chefs, and line cooks to be culinary contenders competing to win $250,000 plus a year-long mentorship by the three host chefs.Chefs Gordon Ramsay, Nyesha Arrington and Richard Blais recruit talented chefs and take them under their wings as they face unique cooking challenges with the goal of finding the food world's newest superstar. A 65-year-old man is missing after the raft he and his son were in on the Colorado River in Glenwood Canyon capsized, Garfield County Sheriff officials said on Monday. The son was able to swim to shore.Glenwood Springs firefighters on Sunday searched both sides of the river from Grizzly Creek down to Two Rivers Park in Glenwood Springs. A search and rescue team assisted, but stopped searching at 8 p.m., officials said in a news release.The sheriff’s office now is treating this as a missing person case while working with search and rescue workers to continue the search, officials said.The man and his son put in at Grizzly Creek on Sunday afternoon with plans to raft down the river to the area around New Castle, officials said. Shortly after they began rafting, their raft capsized, officials said.The missing man was last seen wearing a grey shirt or hoody and white-and-yellow gloves. The hit-and-run motorist who struck two cyclists near Evergreen on Father’s Day last year was sentenced to 20 years in prison on Monday, the maximum that Judge Jeffrey R. Pilkington could impose under a plea deal negotiated with the Jefferson County district attorney’s officeCyclist Lisa Ludwig of Evergreen suffered a traumatic brain injury, three broken ribs, a broken shoulder blade and two broken vertebrae when she was struck by a car driven by Haley Mill, whose legal name is Alan Mill. Fellow cyclist Mike Will also was hit, suffering a broken rib and a punctured lung.Under terms of the plea deal, Pilkington could have sentenced Mill to between 10 and 20 years. There was an audible gasp in the courtroom when Pilkington revealed that Mill now has 15 felony convictions on her record, including two in this case, in addition to eight suspensions of her driver’s license. The Hollywood Walk of Fame revealed the 2024 class of honorees on Monday morning. The names are chosen by the Walk of Fame Selection Committee, which is made up of past honorees. 1 Dead and 1 Injured after Two-Vehicle Collision near Sperry AvenuePATTERSON, CA (June 26, 2023) – Early Friday morning, a two-car crash on American Eagle Avenue claimed the life of Jesus Zeferino Avila.The accident occurred around 4:41 a.m. near Sperry Avenue on June 9th.According to the CHP, a 2022 BMW driver lost control of the vehicle when he hit a dip in the middle of the intersection at high speed.As a result, the BMW became airborne, and hit a center median, before colliding with a 2023 Tesla.The BMW driver, identified as 28-year-old Jesus Zeferino Avila succumbed to his injuries. On the other hand, the Tesla driver, a 36-year-old Patterson resident sustained a minor scrape on their arm.At this time, it is unknown whether speed, drugs, or alcohol played a role in the crash.
