(WHTM) -- Leaving milk and cookies out for Santa Claus before going to bed on Christmas Eve is a tradition for many families. So on Dec. 5, the kids would leave out their shoes and wake up to their shoes being filled with treats. This would change over time and eventually lead to children leaving out cookies and milk for Santa instead. The Great Depression ConnectionIn a time when many families struggled, Christmas was a bright spot. The families would ask their children to leave out milk and cookies for Santa to thank him for bringing gifts. The Dairy ConnectionSimilar to the Christmas Pickle tradition, this theory mentions that leaving milk and cookies out for Santa was a marketing ploy. Another impressive performance on the big stage might be enough to wrap it up.Lurking close behind is Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, who has the second-best odds to win his second career MVP, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. And if the quarterbacks slip up, 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey has the fifth-best odds to win the award.“Are you trying to get me in trouble with those two guys?” 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said when asked to pick a candidate from his team. “That’s the only reason I wouldn’t overly comment on either one of them because I don’t want them to cancel each other out. ...¿Dónde está Santa Claus?
