Woman wounded in Oakland freeway shooting OAKLAND — The California Highway Patrol continued to search Monday for a suspect in a shooting Saturday morning on an Interstate 980 onramp that left a woman who was passenger in a car with a gunshot wound to her chin, authorities said.The shooting happened about 4:07 a.m. Saturday on the 11th street onramp to the eastbound lanes of I-980.The CHP said the victim was a passenger in a white Lexus sedan. The victim and driver were the only occupants.The CHP said the two heard gunfire coming from the right side of their car before the woman was wounded in the chin.
